10 Reasons why you should join the Youngstown Ski Club

1. We have organized group trips consisting of 20 or more fun-loving people lead by experienced Trip Leaders. We combine efforts with other Ski Clubs to give our members unique experiences that are unforgettable.
2. Trip groups include members of all abilities - you can ski with people of the same ability or learn with others on their first time. Lessons are available to beginners!
3. Single individuals are paired with roommates to avoid the cost of single occupancy. Special requests are granted to those who ask – it’s your trip, we cater to your needs!
4. We have trips of varying locations that offer numerous activities to both the skier and non-skier alike. Site seeing adventures, shopping, tubing, snowmobile riding, dining, and casinos are available for your amusement.
5. Group rates save you money and minimize planning efforts on your part since Trip Leaders perform most of the trip planning details. All trip costs include lodging, transportation, and lift ticket expenses.
6. All of our trips include recommended hotels/condos, most with indoor pools and jacuzzis, and fine dining experiences.
7. We organize 3-4 ski trips each year and provide numerous summer activities such as picnics, camping, monthly bar mixers, sporting events, and an annual Wine Taste in the fall.
8. We are the ONLY Ski Club in the area that subsidizes lunches on our trips! Furthermore, bus rides to desired locations are catered courtesy of PIZZA JOE’s in Boardman, Oh. Feel free to bring an appetite!!!
9. Non-Skiers receive discounted rates as social members for all of our trips.
10. We have fun on our trips and throughout the year!!!

How to become a Member:
1. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
2. Applications must include a membership fee of $35.00 until September 30th, after which the rate will be $40.00.(A $5.00 late fee is assessed, but check the web for early-bird incentives. .). Checks should be made payable to The Youngstown Ski Club.
3. Applicants should be aware that gross misconduct can result in the forfeiture of not only membership, but also of any dues or other fees incurred in the misconduct.

You don't have to be a skier! Many of our members are non-skiers and join for the other great activities. To join the Youngstown Ski Club, you will need a membership form, which can be obtained by:

• Come to a monthly meeting or mixer (check Current Events Page);
• Request a news letter or brochure which usually contains a membership form;

Membership is required for ski trip sign ups.

AS A MEMBER:
1. YOU can receive group rates on ski trips not available in others ways and save money getting involved in activities you already enjoy.
2. YOU are also eligible for our Weekday trips, typically on Fridays that goes to a private resort not available to the public on weekends.
3. As an affiliate member of the Cleveland METRO Ski council and the Pennsylvania Ski Council, YOU are eligible for the group rates on any of their numerous ski trips and Fun in the Sun trips which go to areas all over the world!

4. YOU will meet new and interesting people that enjoy outdoor activities and having fun. Some of these new contacts, based on similarities with yourself, may even develop into long friendships!

5. YOU are encouraged to participate and promote the Youngstown Ski Club in as many events as you can. Support for the club goes a long way in ensuring the success of ALL events and trips that transpire. The success of one is the success of all!
